International Conference on Local Wisdom - 2019
The Local wisdom - as a form of knowledge, belief, understanding, or insight as well as customs or ethics that guide human behaviors in life within a community or group - is closely related to development of science. However, its existence is often ignored. It is frequently connoted with the traditional knowledge which is considered outdated.
Meanwhile, the rapid development of information technology in most cases is seen as the root which causes the decline of the quality of human behaviors. Global information has been deemed as a general and appropriate role model.
On the other hand, the current development of the industry has almost entirely utilized the digital world. Nowadays, the industrial world has evolved into the stage of digitalization of all aspects which is known as the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Cyber technology, Internet of Things, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Computing have become the current narratives.
Kedua belah pihak yang berlawanan mungkin bertemu di ujung yang lain. Kearifan lokal tradisional dapat dikolaborasikan dengan dunia digital di era industri 4.0 ini baik dari segi pemanfaatan maupun pengembangannya. Hal ini merupakan kondisi yang menantang untuk diwujudkan sebagaimana cita-cita Society 5.0 yang baru saja muncul. This is a challenging condition to be realized as the ideals of the Society 5.0 which is recently emerged. These issues will be pointed, discussed, and presented at the International Conference on Local Wisdom 2019.Theme: The theme of this conference is "Local Wisdom on Digital Era".
