Japanese people to rewrite modern prose in digital form and upload it on an Internet site called aozora bunko use the advance of technology. Anyone and anywhere can access this site. How the process to digitalize the modern prose and how its position in Japanese proses was an issue in this study. The study used a literature study method by collecting data related to digital prose that was uploaded on the aozora bunko site and related articles. The results of the study show that the rewriting of modern Japanese prose that was published decades ago is the re-publication of literary works in digital form so that they can be appreciated and criticized by society today.
