 Abstract

The aim of this study was to formulate the issue of human person contained in the Sanghyang Siksakandang Karesian manuscript as one of the local cultural wisdom, so as to produce a formulation of human person for the enrichment and development of education, especially for the improvement of Guidance and Counseling implementation. Efforts to uncover and formulate human person in the SSK manuscript require the power of interpretation, so the right method is done using hermeneutics-phenomenology. Human person (or human nature) in this study contains three aspects, i.e. personal, self-identity, and uniqueness. Human person in Sanghyang Siksakandang Karesian manuscript includes “soil” and “water” personal, catur-yogya self-identity, and human uniqueness of bayu-sabda-hedap. All of them are basis for authenticity growth which contributes to development of education in Indonesia.
